Sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve been really busy since I got my food service job and I don’t have much time to draw these days.

Just wanted to say I’ve got mad love for my followers.

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my art. It is really encouraging and exciting to have an audience, no matter how small. I’m glad to see there are a lot of artists among you. Please do not be a stranger, as I’m here to network. I’d really like to get to know who you people are. Feel free to ask me a question, or answer one!

1) Who is one of your favorite artists? What about that person inspires you?

2) What was your favorite children’s or young adult book? I wanna illustrate kid’s books someday, and I think about kid’s literature all the time.

3) Who is one of your tumblr art heroes?

This is what I was working on in January: a wildlife watercolor painting for the Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek,CA. It is a yellow star-thistle and a turkey vulture, two species common to Mount Diablo. I spent a lot of time on planning and preparation, drawing and painting studies of the subject. Somehow the finished piece falls short for the amount of work and time I put into it. The submission was rejected for the exhibit, so I guess I’ll put it in my closet.

I drew this while I was watching Project Nim, which is a very sad and enlightening documentary. Nim, I would like to apologize to you and every other chimp in the world on behalf of the human race.
